G.F Smith is a Paper manufacturer and has been for over 135 years. They have many different paper types, and split their paper into categories. For example, colour plan, fine collection, textured and specialist. With these papers they can make envelopes, packaging, greetings, labels and so much more. They even do exact measurements, for example if you need the paper to be a specific size, you can request that. Also, something that is great for me and all students is that they do free samples and 25% off anything you order. This is a great way to help students to experiment with paper types and get potential regular customers in the future.
This is one of the paper types I am going to order. It is a 135 gsm, C5 wallet in the colour rust. I decided on a wallet to put my images in to keep them safe.

The next paper I chose is this 135 gsm, C5 wallet in the colour scarlet.

This is my favourite paper I chose, the 116 gsm sheet of paper in the colour N-52. The reason this is my favourite is because of the texture of the paper, I think it would make my work more interesting for the viewer. I also ordered this paper as a sheet not an envelope, this is because I want to try and create something myself.

I decided to choose red colours for the envelope because my project is called 'Red Shirt' and my main images are of this red shirt, so I chose colours that are similar to the reds in the shirt.
This paper testing has helped develop my work and helped me to choose the best paper for my images.
