Today I went to AC Gallery in Huddersfield, which is a Gallery for Peter Brooks work. His work was interesting, however I went because they do professional framing. As I am in my final year in university I need to frame my two final images. Here are my final images :

The image on the left is A3 and the image on the right is A2. The lady in the shop was very helpful, she first showed me all the frames I could use for my size prints. I asked for thin black frames and these are the two I liked the most :

The top frame (CR3090BK) I chose because it was thin and black. However, I liked the second one (CR3300BK) more because of the smoothness. My images are quite detailed and I don't want the texture in the frame to distract from the texture in the images.

I told the lady about my work and how it's photos of a red shirt and she suggested this frame :

This frame is also a contender because the small detail of red on the frame wont over shine the image and I think it could be a nice detail to the frame rather than just a plain black one.

After picking a frame she suggested mount board but I decided against it because I want my images to fill the frame. We then spoke about the glass, either plain glass or non-reflective glass. Here is an example she showed me :

The top frame has non-reflective glass in it and the bottom image has plain glass. I decided on non-reflective glass because in the exhibition theres going to be loads of lights and I don't want the reflection of lights to distract from my images.

Also a great thing about AC Gallery is that they give 30 % off student discount, so my total came to £109.

Overall, I had a very good experience with this framers. I even went to look at the exhibition after. I think having my work professionally framed will make my images look more professional and also easier to keep even after the exhibition.
